In the world of english, "ON" and "IN" would mean two completely different things. I have 25,000 Miles ON the motor, I do NOT have $25,000 IN the motor. If I had meant dollars, I would have surely included a "$" in front of the value. How many english speaking people in the world refer to having 25,000 dollars ON a motor...? I do think most refer to having 25,000 IN the motor if that was the correct reference, which it is not.
